Pre-Cast Concrete can be used in a wide variety of applications
that result in more durable, long-lasting products.
Some applications of Pre-Cast Concrete are:

I. Concrete Block
Building blocks are widely used in all types of building construction. They are economical, durable, fire resistive, and able to carry heavy loads. In recent years they have become quite popular for the construction of commercial buildings and other residential and manufacturing buildings. The term "building blocks" refers to blocks made with cement, aggregate and water, in the proper proportions. Building blocks vary greatly in texture, weight, and absorption and insulation qualities, depending upon the kind of aggregate used in them. Some of the common aggregates in building blocks are sand and gravel, cinders, pumice, and slag.

Blocks made with the sand and gravel Aggregate are referred to as "standard heavy weight concrete" blocks. Those using the pumice aggregate are referred to as "lightweight pumice" blocks. These are somewhat the standard terms used among block manufacturers in the Western areas of the United States.

HOW DOES THE PUMICE BLOCK DIFFER FROM THE STANDARD CONCRETE BLOCK?
The pumice block is similar, except that the sand and gravel is replaced with Lightweight Pumice Coarse Aggregate. This blend of aggregate is sometimes referred to as a "semi-lightweight block." When the total aggregate consists of pumice coarse and pumice sand, then it is referred to as an "All Lightweight Block" and is one half the weight of a standard concrete block.

WHEN SHOULD EACH BLOCK BE USED?
Generally speaking pumice blocks should be used wherever insulation, or fire ratings are necessary. This would probably include the house and buildings where livestock are quartered. Standard concrete blocks are satisfactory for basement walls, retaining walls, and buildings where living temperatures are unnecessary. The standard concrete block is not recommended for house construction because of its poor insulating quality.

II. Stone Veneer
Stone Veneer that is made from pumice is lightweight, and can be installed on almost any surface. Stone veneer is available in many different colors, textures and sizes to meet the needs of many architectural applications. The product is virtually maintenance free, and its appearance is enhanced over time from the elements. Stone veneer offers the durability and strength of natural stone architectural applications at a much lower cost.
