The fashion industry has placed a great demand for stone-washed garments. The garment finishers have come to rely on CLP to provide the highest quality pumice stones for the processing of stone-washed jeans. Regardless of the specifications for the weight or fashion texture of mostly demin fabric.

California Lightweight Pumice, Inc., a family owned business, has been in operation since 1977. Dedicated solely to supplying quality pumice stones to its growing customer list, CLP has become an invaluable resource to those who recognize quality pumice whether produced from our own California deposits or imported from our exclusive supply sources from Turkey.

Unlike synthetic rocks that have been found to be harder on equipment and are unable to soak up chemicals as well, pumice stones give fabric a natural, high quality finish for today's fashion. CLP stones last longer and offer more flexibility than synthetic stones and chemicals. They breakdown naturally creating a comfortable, natural look while protecting expensive machinery from constant abuse. This allows for higher productivity with less down time less maintenance expense and lower municipality sewer costs due to more durable and longer lasting stone produced from quality California pits. In addition, they are more environmentally friendly than chemicals or enzymes and the stonewash look and feel is more acceptable to the entire fashion garment and denim industries.

CLP lightweight pumice is white and non-friable, perfectly adapted for stonewashing. We produce several grades for different weight denims.

  1. Medium stone - 1 1/2" x 2 1/2"
  2. Small stone - 3/4" x 1"
  3. Sand Blasting - #8 (8 oz. material)

CLP pumice is available in bulk or bags. Our bags are 1 1/2 cu. ft. (40 lb.bags) and come 50 bags per pallet.

We also have a softer, imported stone which is available in 35 lb. bags, 80 bags per pallet.
